About

I come from a tiny village in the Gaspésie peninsula called Sainte-Anne-des-Monts. There is nothing to do if you consider gazing at the horizon and gorgeous mountain landscape to be nothing. Sainte-Anne-des-Monts is the closest town to the Parc National de la Gaspésie which is in my opinion the best hiking trails in the province of Quebec. I have grown there with my 2 younger brothers and I take almost every chances to visit back. 🌲

My Hobbies 💡

I like to try almost anything. I Love computers and coding as much as I love linguistics, so I often try to mix both 💻. I am studying linguistics primarily because I want to pursue graduates studies in computational linguistics/computational phonology 🎓. I’m also maniac with optimisation so I spend quite some time changing and updating my Linux configuration (more on this here 🐧). I also like going outside, I love hiking and rock climbing to detox form all the time spend on my computer 🍃. I like music, my favorite artists are changing but the one that are recurrent are Dino Brandão, Tristan Brusch, Valkyrien Allstar, Nev Cottee, Michael Kiwanuka, and many other… 🎵

Linguistics 🔤

I am currently doing my bachelors degree in general linguistics. By far my favorite subjects are phonology and NLP. I’m working on a research project about modeling Laurentian French. You can find more info on the project soon or see fun-o.

I also try to attend as many encounters as possible in the ALFE linguistics club at ULaval.

Game Development 🎮

I am also working on a game called AETOS Project. The game is still in early development so I wont give much info about it here. If you want to know more about it join the Discord server. I use Gamemaker Studio 2 for most of the development, level design, code, etc, and I also use Aseprite (now Libresprite on Linux) for the pixel art graphics. I also work with FLStudio for the music and sound design. I do everything myself so the development takes quite some time but again more info about this on Discord.
